  “Go ahead and say it.”

“I will, but right now, I just want to lay here with you and enjoy this moment.”

I closed my eyes as his fingers were going to my clit, but I quickly raised up.

  “Damn it.”

  “What?”

“I still have to go to Kyle’s opening. I promised Demetria I’ll meet her there.”

  “Whose Demetria?”

“She’s in my Principles of Management class. We’re working on a project together. I invited her since she didn’t have anything to do tonight.”

“Just tell her something came up.” Morgan said as he pulled me back down beside him.

“I can’t, baby. I have to go. And you’re coming with me.”

  “I don’t think so.”

“Why? You don’t want to see the crew?” I said and smiled.

“It’s not that; we haven’t seen each other in six months, so I would had thought we would be spending our time reconnecting and not going to a club opening.”

“Which is also your brother’s place. Besides, I told her I would be there so I should be.”

“Baby, you just met this girl this week, you don’t owe her anything.”

“If I don’t show up, I would be going back on my word. You should understand that, right?”

He glanced at me and sighed. “Fine, I’ll go. But we're not staying long.”

“That’s fine, because I have some plans for us when we return.”

“I know you do, Just like I do with you too.” He said as he pulled me close to him.

“What are you doing?” I asked while he laid me back down.

“What does it look like?” He asked while kissing my neck.

Before I could even say anything more, he was kissing me lower until he reach the spot he loved the most. The thought of meeting up with Demetria was becoming a distant memory as I whispered his name. I guess Demetria is going to have to wait.

After we were finally able to leave the bed, we headed to The Palace II. This felt like old times; we was in Morgan’s Mustang. He couldn’t keep his hands off of me, as he was making me cum for the second time since we left the cabin. I’m not sure how he’s staying focus on the road and pleasuring me, but at that point, I didn’t care.

Once we arrived in the parking lot, the place was packed as a line was wrapped around the building. And Kyle was nervous about no one coming.

“Good thing we know the owner.” Morgan said as he pulled into the nearest spot.

We got out and went straight to the entrance and mentioned I was one of Kyle’s guests. The bouncer let us in as I searched for Kyle through the crowd. I saw him, Lamar, Tamara, and Demetria sitting at the bar. When everyone saw who I was with, they were all in shock.

“What the hell?! Good to see you, man.” Lamar said as he got up from his seat and gave him a brotherly hug.

“Wow, Morgan. So glad to see you.” Tamara said as she hugged him too.

“Look who is back with the living. I knew you would change your mind.” Kyle said.

“Well, I had someone to convince me too.” He said and gave me a kiss.

While everyone was glad to see Morgan, Demetria looked kind of lost.

“Sorry, Demetria; you probably wondering what is going on. This is my boyfriend, Morgan. Morgan, this is my classmate, Demetria.”

“Nice to meet you.” she said as she extended her hand.

  “Likewise.”

“So, where did you go since everyone is glad you’re back?”

“I just went away for awhile.”

She nodded as she smiled at me. “He’s hot.”

“Don’t I know it.” I said as I looked at him. He smiled and started to talk to Lamar.

“I’m really sorry for not being here earlier. I hope everyone were nice to you.”

“Everyone has been great, Hayley. Thanks again for inviting me. I’m really having a great time.”

  “That’s good.”

“Besides, I was wondering if Kyle is single.”

I smiled. “He’s very much single.”

Demetria smiled and picked up her drink. I guess I would have to see if Kyle is interested, but based on how he was checking Demetria out, he was.

I felt a hand go across my waist and I immediately smiled. “Since I’m here, I guess you can make it worth my while.”

I turned around and took Morgan’s hand. “Let’s go, then.”

We went out on the dance floor, happy that I got my man back and this time, I’m not letting him go.

  Morgan

After dancing with Hayley for an hour, I needed to get a drink. While she went back out on the floor with Tamara and Demetria, I went over to the bar to catch up with Lamar and Kyle. I had a lot of questions for those two.

“So, now that the girls are gone, I need to know why you told Hales where I was, Kyle.” I asked.

Kyle put down the glass he had and sighed. “I figured she needed to know. Like I said, she was miserable. And you know she’ll have something to say to you too, Lamar.” He said while staring at him.

“I know she will. She gave a preview earlier.”

“Another thing is what happened between you and Hales earlier. I told you not to touch her.”

“Are you serious?! I told you I wouldn’t try and get with her.”

“Hayley told me you stopped before anything started, but it’s the idea you almost went there with her!”

“Wait, where the hell was I at?” Lamar asked.

I looked at him and sighed. “You better be glad I’d changed or you would be on the damn floor right now.”

“Seriously, Morgan. You’re making a big deal out of nothing. Besides, I’m trying to get to know Hayley’s friend. She’s fine as hell.”

“At least you’re not looking at my girl now.”

“If you were around, she wouldn’t have been going after someone else.”

“I’m back now, so she won’t be.”

“You’re not going to make another disappearing act in the future, are you? I understand why you did it this time, but if you do it again, I will kick your ass.” Lamar said.

“Do you really want to go there?” I asked while staring at him.

Lamar glanced at me and grabbed his glass. “Shut the fuck up.”

“Okay, you two, that’s over now. Now that you’re back, what are you going to do with yourself? Are you going to stay at the cabin? Are you going back to Thompson? What’s your plan?” Kyle asked.

“I don’t know yet. I should go back to Thompson, but for now, I’m still going to lay low. What my mom said didn’t sit right with me, so I’m going to take precautions on everything.”

“What did she say that has you on edge?” Lamar asked.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to bring this up now to Kyle, but I probably should.

“She mentioned your mom, Kyle. Was she involved with Travis in any way?”

Kyle looked shocked as he put down his glass. “What? Not that I know of. Why would you think that?”

“My mom mentioned that she was bitter over what happened with our dad and wanted to seek revenge on her, so she got together with Travis to do it.”

“Morgan, why would my mom be the one to seek revenge on yours when she was the one who cheated? If it was anyone who wanted to seek revenge, it would had been your mom since mines destroyed her marriage.”

I looked at Lamar who nodded. “I have to agree, Mo.”

“Are you saying that my mom is lying?”

“Maybe. You just need to talk to her to find out what is going on. She could be using my mom as a scapegoat, but I hardly doubt it if she was partners with Travis.”

“Well, there’s only one way to find out. I need to talk to your mom.”

Kyle sighed. “Honestly, I don’t want her in your mess, Morgan.”

“I need to know what the hell is going on and why my mom would name yours in this.”

  “I hope you find wh
atever you need, but it won’t be at the expense of my mom.” Kyle said as he went over to the liquor rack.

I shook my head and stared at Lamar. “Fine, if he wants it that way, then I’ll find another way to talk to her.”

“Don’t you think you need to forget about this? You and Kyle are actually at a good place right now.”

“I don’t care. I need to know who is lying.”

  Kyle

I had to admit, tonight was a good night. The Palace II was a huge hit with the college crowd, so I knew I would be making some good money every weekend.

While I was closing up, I didn’t realize that Demetria was still here, especially since everyone else had already left. She came up to the bar and sat down on one of the barstools.

“I thought you would had left already.”

She smiled. “I figured I’ll stick around since everyone else had left you here on your own.”

  “Thanks.”

She put her elbows on the bar and batted her lashes at me. “So, I was wondering if you were with anyone? I would have asked Hayley, but she was busy with Morgan to notice anything else, which I have to ask, what was the deal with that? Where did Morgan go that had everyone so surprised that he was back?”

I stared at her as I put a chair up onto the table. I didn’t know if I should tell her anything since I just met her. Since Hayley wasn’t around when Demetria arrived, I had to keep her company, which I didn’t mind. She was sexy as hell, so I definitely wanted the distraction.

I put up another chair before speaking. “To answer your first question, I’m definitely single, but with Hayley and Morgan, I don’t think I should tell you about that.”

“Why? I mean, from my understanding, he’s your brother, right?”

  “Half-brother.”

“Okay, half-brother. Anyway, what’s the deal with him?”

“Let’s just say he’s a complicated man. What’s with all the questions about him when you should be asking about me?”

Demetria smiled and came over to me. Her hand landed on my chest as her dark brown eyes stared into mine.

“I don’t have a problem at all with that.”

“I’m sure you don’t.” I said as my hand went pass her ass. I touched the end of her skirt as my hand went up her thighs. She moaned as I went further.

“Do you want me to stop?”

  “Hell, no.”

I licked my lips as I sat her onto the table. She spread her legs while taking off my shirt.

I didn’t know things would go down like this, but she was ready and I was willing, so it was definitely on.

  Demetria

I walked out of Kyle’s club with all smiles. I definitely wasn’t expecting that, but shit, Kyle is fine! I might as well get what I can while going with this plan. If fucking a fine ass man like Kyle is part of the package, then that’s fine by me.

After our hours of pleasure, he did ask to take me back to the dorms, but I declined. I can’t have him taking me on campus, especially if anyone unexpectedly stopped by. If he did, it would be just my luck that someone would have been there.

I walked up to the steps of Hudson Hall and someone was waiting for me. She waited until I put my access card through the gate and we walked inside. I couldn’t say anything until we were secured inside of my room.

As soon as we walked in, I slammed the door and went off.

“What the hell are you doing here?! I asked you not to meet me here in case someone came by.”

“Oh, stop it. Who would possibly come by?”

“Hayley is my partner for our business plan project. She can always pop by.”

“I still don’t like that bitch.” She said as she sat on my bed. Good thing my roommate was staying at her boyfriend’s tonight. Now, I wished I had a single room.

“I can’t believe she survived that gunshot wound.”

“Well, she did. And guess whose back in action?”

  “Who?”

  “Morgan.”

She sat up straighter on the bed and sighed. “So he’s out of hiding now.”

“Yep. I saw him at the club opening tonight.”

“Speaking of which, did you get a chance to talk to anyone?”

“Not really; but I think I can work something out with Kyle. You didn’t tell me how sexy that man is. And he can definitely get my pussy going.”

“Wait, what! I didn’t say you could sleep with him.”

“Why not? He wanted me, I wanted him, so I don’t see the problem.”

She rolled her eyes and sighed. “Whatever, just focus on the real agenda, so don’t get sidetracked.”

“I promise, I won’t. We’re doing this for a reason, right. I mean, Morgan and Hayley destroyed a lot of lives, so we need to put an end to them, right?”

“Right. Honestly, I don’t have anything against Morgan, but I have to carry out the plan that Travis has asked me to do.”

I glanced at her and sighed. “I know, Shantel.”

“But you have an even bigger reason for doing this. Hayley killed your father.”

I sighed. Honestly, I could care less about what happened to him. He wasn’t really a father to me from the jump, so it wasn’t any love lost that he died.

“Really, Shantel, I don’t really care about avenging my father’s death.” I said while getting up from my bed and going to the window.

“So why did you agree to do this?”

I turned around and looked at Shantel. “Because of the money you graciously gave me. I didn’t have any other way to pay for school, so I had no choice.”

“But there’s another reason, isn’t it?”

I looked out the window and stared at the stars. I took a deep breath, wondering if I really wanted to tell her.

“Let’s just say that Morgan doesn’t know what he’s dealing with when it comes to his mom.”

  Morgan

I stared at Hayley as she laid on my chest. Her face was hidden by her curls as she was sleeping soundly against me. After leaving and her finding me, I realized that I was stupid to have left her. I know now that I never want to leave her again. Whatever issues we have, we’ll have to work through them together; that was a promise to myself and to her.

She started to stir as she slowly lifted herself up. She looked up at me and smiled.

  “Hey, baby.”

“Hey.” She whispered as I kissed her forehead. We laid in silence for a couple of minutes as I felt her chest rise and fall against me. She gave small kisses to my chest while my fingers caressed her hair.

“I been seeing a therapist while I’ve been here. Her name is Kimbella.”

Hayley looked up and gave a sincere look. “Wow. And you’re on a first name basis with her. Did you talk to her about everything?”

“Yeah. At first, I was hesitant to, but after a few sessions, I started to open up to her. I even told her about my latest suspicions about my mom.”

Hayley looked surprised at the mention of my mom. “Why would you be suspicious of your mom?”

“Ever since that conversation I had with her before I left, I just been having doubts about her part in everything. It just seemed kind of weird that everything happened so suddenly.”

“So you think your mom had something to do with it? That’s a little far-fetched, don’t you think?”

“At this point, I don’t know. That was one of the reasons why I left. If my mom had anything to do with what happened, I didn’t want her to come after you or Lamar.”

“You know she still could had, right? What am I saying? Your mom has nothing to do with this. I understand that you’re probably doubtful about everyone you've encounter lately; I have too, but I really don’t think you should doubt your mom.”

“I said the same thing about Caroline and Will and look where it got us.”

Hayley looked down while I kissed the side of her face. “Have you heard from Rick?”

“I kept in contact with him. Since I told him I’m out of hid
ing, he suggested that he come to Houston for a visit.”

“That would be great to see him. In fact, I'm suppose to be going back tomorrow to see my mom.”

“How is she? I know she should be ready to deliver soon.”

“Yeah. She’s a little nervous too, which I’m surprised over, but I guess no matter how many kids you have, it can still be a little nerve-racking.”

“I’m sure. I’ll come with you, if you want.”

She smiled. “I would like that. In fact, we probably can just ride with Lamar and Tamara since they’re going too.”

“Are you still mad at him?”

“Kind of, but at this point, it doesn’t matter. I’m just glad to be back with you.”

  “I am too.”

“And I would like to be at your next therapy session.”

I looked at her while she gave an encouraging smile. “Baby, talking about your problems is a huge step and I want to be a part of it.

“I know, but honestly, I don’t know if I would want you there.”

Hayley looked hurt as she sat up. “Why not? I thought you said…”

“It’s not that; it’s just that it’s difficult for me to talk about any of this stuff to a stranger, but seeing you there listening to everything, I don’t know if I want you to go through that.”

She caressed my cheek and smiled. “Baby, if you haven’t realized by now, I will be with you regardless. Besides, everything you’re telling her I pretty much already know.”

I sighed. There wasn’t a lot of things Hayley knew about, especially about my childhood. I don’t know if I blocked it from my memory before, but now that I’m seeing Kimbella, some of those moments are coming back, which has made me wonder if everything that I knew about my life before was just a lie.

“Baby, what’s wrong?” Hayley asked while giving a concerned look.

“There’s a lot of things you don’t know about, Hales. I haven’t even told Lamar any of it either.”

“Does it have something to do with your childhood?”

I glanced at her while she held me tighter.

  “Why would you…”

“You didn’t have to say anything; I could just tell from your eyes that it was.”
